About Bishop John L. Fonzer
Bishop John Fonzer is the father of three biological children and 8 grandchildren and has been married to Pastor Valerie Fonzer since June of 1976.
A suffragan bishop in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Bishop Fonzer is the senior pastor of New Bethel Apostolic Assembly of Moss Point, MS. He is the president of Soul Purpose Ministries International, which oversees missions in West Africa. He is the founder of an accredited Bible College, Elijah Institute of Ministry. To date, hundreds of students have graduated and been ordained to the ministry in Togo, Nigeria, and Ghana. The Liberty Mission School for children, as well as the college, is located in Makessim and Sakote Ghana. Hundreds of children have gone through the school. Hundreds of adults have gone through Elijah Institute and have been ordained into the ministry.
The author of several books, Bishop Fonzer is a former staff writer for Perspectives magazine of the United Pentecostal Church International, as well as other publications. Called to be an apostle and a father, he and his wife desire to restore fallen leaders and foster unity in the Body of Christ.
Bishop Fonzer has a one-word mission statement: SOULS.
