Bishop Fonzer has a vision for global ministry and the nations of the world. This vision is evident by his passion to establish God centered schools in Africa, and in his communication with ministries throughout the United States and the world. He offers his teaching notes freely to anyone that desires and will use them for the edification of the body.

Bishop Fonzer is a prolific writer with many books that cover a broad range of subjects. He is also a featured columnist for several magazines and a contributing author for internationally distributed Sunday school literature. Apostle (s/Bishop) John L. Fonzer is truly on the cutting edge of God’s Kingdom for today’s society.

Bishop Fonzer is the father of 3 biological children, grandfather of 8 grandchildren and has been married to Pastor Valerie Fonzer for nearly 40 years.

A suffragan bishop in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Bishop Fonzer is the senior pastor of New Bethel Apostolic Assembly of Moss Point MS.  He also is the president of Soul Purpose Ministries International which oversees missions in three countries of Africa.  Along with the congregation of his former pastorate, several  branches of the accredited Bible College , Elijah Institute of Ministry were established . To date, over three hundred students have graduated and been ordained to the ministry.  He Also established The Liberty Mission School for children with an enrollment of over 600 and counting.

Called to be an apostle and a father, he and his wife desire to restore fallen leaders by one day opening the Elijah House of Ministry.
